Re: Changes to Request for an Extension procedure
As you will be aware over the past couple of months RuralBiz Training has been undertaking some significant changes to the structure, organisation and administration of the business. Much of this change will not be obvious to you and in many instances not affect how you interact.
However, the following change to how you request an ‘extension’ of time for a unit of work will be important to you.
Previously you have emailed your angel or someone in the office if you require an extension to a unit.
The new process will require you to make a simple application online. You will do this by following the steps as outlined below.
Step 1: Open the RBT Online Home Page (https://rbtonline.com.au )
Step 2: Click on Student Support (in the ‘ribbon’ at the top of the page)
Step 3: Scroll down the page to the Extensions and Deferrals section
Step 4: In this Extensions and Deferrals section click on the link - Request for an Extension
Step 5: Read the information outlined and then click on the link - Answer the questions (There are 8 simple questions & you are required to answer all 8)
Step 6: Finally click on – Submit your answers
What happens next?
Once you have submitted the online Request for extension form
• The extension will be assessed and processed as appropriate
• You will be advised of the end date for your enrolment in the unit.
• Your Training Plan will be adjusted to reflect the new end date
• Your angel will be advised of this change
The RuralBiz Training Student Handbook (Page 17) states; “Extensions of up to 8 weeks total in a unit enrolment will normally be granted unless there are reasons not to do so (eg funding or training package requirements). We will advise you promptly if there is any reason we are unable to grant an extension.”
Please Note: You should allow up to twenty-four hours for your request to be processed, although we will aim to implement the request in less time than this.
This new application for an extension to your unit will be effective from the Monday 17 February 2020.
If you have any questions in relation to the above please do not hesitate to contact your angel or Maureen Devine (email@example.com )
